Workshopping with you!
Individual/family workshopping: Workshopping for individuals and families with you in your garden demonstrates how to design your garden with sustainable elements, attend to garden tasks and/or build skill levels and confidence. You may choose from topics above. Minimum 3-hours. Max 4 people. Fees as per specific events as noted, quoted or on request: *$65-$110 p/hour.  Please contact for quote. 
Concession card holders/seniors/NFP: Contact for quote. *$65-$85 per/hour (Minimum 3-hours. Max 4 participants)

TIMES: Each workshop is 2.5-hours long and as noted in specific event.

INVITATION:  Join the community garden as a member and recieve a discounted fee for the courses, participate in thriving community garden and to upskill in your specific areas of interest.

Gardening from Scratch Course
OVERVIEW: Gardening from Scratch is a 4 or 6 week course for beginners. We blend basic theory, discussion and onsite practical hands-on exercises.  At the end of the course, participants will have met new people, learned new gardening skills and gained confidence to grow seasonal edible plants.  Extension resources and activities are provided to enable gardeners to extend their knowledge and understanding.  Participants will have opportunities to visit and work in the CSCH community garden to see some of the methods learned demonstrated in a thriving community garden. 
TOPICS COVERED:  Gardening basics of growing edible foods: Propagation methods, design elements, compost and worm farms, and troubleshooting your specific personal gardening challenges. 


Sustainable Gardening Course
OVERVIEW: This course is a 6-week for gardeners interested in delving deeper into the systems within nature and simple actions and behaviour changes to create a more sustainable garden environment.  Extension resources and activities are provided to enable gardeners to extend their knowledge and understanding of actions, principles and methods they can ripple actions into their sphere of influence. 
TOPICS COVERED:  Workshops include discussion and sustainable gardening principles, waste reduction and the soil food web, considerations for a changing climate, food security and weed foraging, designing for biodiversity, seed sowing, saving, sharing and swapping.  


Gardens For Wellbeing
OVERVIEW: This course is 4-week long and introduces 'Therapeutic Wellness' to everyday lives and help us understand the enjoyment of physical, mental and social benefits of gardening and nature connections. Gardens and gardening have been well researched to provide benefits improving our mental and physical health.  These workshops will introduce participants to Sensory Garden Design and Horticulture Therapy, and ecotherapy methods which offer practices to reduce stress levels and create greater wellbeing.  
Please note: Deb is not a psychologist, carer or counsellor and is unable to support individuals in a mental health crisis.  Participation includes activities, group work and extension opportunities.  All people are welcome and a personal carer or support worker may also register to accompany a participant to support them in their enjoyment of the course. Deb is an environment educator, ecopsychologist, horticulturalist, permaculture teacher and permaculture landscape designer.
She is passionate about living sustainability as we connect and care for self, community and our natural environment.   
Deb aims to build knowledge and confidence with a practical systems-thinking approach.
